Nets and 3d shapes

I finally got it to work (downloaded it onto a older computer I have) and it turns 3D shapes into 2D nets I need something that will do this the other way around, 2D net to 3D shapes

If have the folded panels, what about cutting these on the laser cutter using card of some type, then you fold them into the 3D shapes which you can handle. 3D printing would take hours, laser cutting and glue or tape together would be faster, cheaper etc. would that work? (Once we have the laser cutter back or ask @Dorine). Otherwise it may be a case of constructing the 3D objects in Fusion 360 or ShapR using the parameters given in the nets or importing those and folding them in 3D using transformations/rotate face etc.

I originally made them out of card by hand mapping and cutting and it was inaccurate and still not as stable as I’d like it to be but was going to be my plan otherwise. I wanted this also as a 3D project but also I’m studding to be a maths teacher so these can be used again for following students or the more basic shapes I could keep for myself for later teaching down the line.

I ended up using Rhino and adding on a polygon plug in that auto generated the shapes I needed for me and I could also flatten them out to create the nets so it’s perfect for what I needed

Thank you for your help with this I’ve learnt a lot
