Ive yet to try Cyanotype so I would definitely be up for that!
Kind of have to agree about the darkroom. Joe was encouraging me to try and start one up but with the need for light control and running water it would almost certainly need more size than we have available to give it.
Don’t mind doing some smaller workshops on developing film or alt process stuff also though and I’ve been wanting an excuse to try some more exotic things like wet plate.
Its seems like there is quite a bit of interest in the subject, but its a bit hard to tell (it could just be people who already know how to do it )
How about we start with gauging interest on workshops and go from there? If enough people want to take part we can try and run them (no guarantees, obviously) and if the interest keeps up we can then start looking at what kit we keep in the space?
I’d be happy to run one on Film Development (from a roll to negatives, no dark room needed. B&W probably a good start but could do colour as well) or a Printing workshop offsite (unsure of the logistics of this) and it sounds like I am not the only one. @scday94 has indicated he would be up for doing Cyanotype.
So that gives us a few options we could feasible run:
- B&W Film Development Workshop (no printing, on site)
- Cyanotype Workshop
- Workshop on other alternative processes
- Darkroom Printing Workshop (off site)

Please don’t take this poll as a guarantee that any of these will happen. Its just to gauge interest.
I’d love to try the Cyanotype on a large format camera, and I’m always happy to show people film development, as it’s easy to do everywhere with just temporary access to a dark space or a changing bag. And then maybe we can talk about options for scanning negatives?
