OK… what are people thinking for timings?
Tuesday the 18th I’m free
Cool! Thanks for sharing!
Yes to October 18!
18th works for me too
I also bought the Elegoo kit a few years ago, and it seems very similar to the official Arduino ones out there
Was pleasantly surprised at how many examples only use the arduino as a power source, focusing mainly on achieving stuff through clever circuitry. Far from an expert but it seems to give a good balance of circuit building and using basic chips vs programming of the arduino itself.
18th is good for me. Looking forward to it. I don’t own any of the devices people mention but happy to get one if people can advise the best for an amateur
OK… shall we just call it the 18th? How can we start gathering arduinos & breadboards? I mean cool if everyone shows up that night, but otherwise it would be useful to have a designated spot for people to drop them off whenever they are in the space next.
@emuboy, do electroTechs have a box or drawer somewhere we can gather them up?
Sure, choose one and put a label on it,
But I repeat, the first lesson might be only theory
Just a reminder that there are 9 laptops in the space for use in training.
They are not admin locked, so you can install the Arduino IDE etc on them.
I’m clearing some stuff out and have some things I’m happy to donate to the space if you think it’d be valuable.
- 4x Spark Core v1.0
- 1x Spark Photon
- 1x Spark Electron
- 1x RPi 3 Model B+
- 1x RPi (original)
- 3x ESP32
- Big breadboard
- 6x Smaller project breadboards
- breadboard jump wire kit
- assorted components e.g.
- 433 tx/rx
- 7 segment displays
- IR rx
- transistors
- plant moisture sensors
- Spark Maker Kit
- assorted “solder it yourself” projects e.g.
- clap sensor
- oscilloscope
- led cube
This are definitly valuables!
The esp32s and raspi 3 would be great for infrastructure in the space!
Alright, great. I’ll drop them down to the space sometime soon. I’ll let you fight among yourselves as to who gets what how they can be best used in the space!
Antony, please leave a note for @emuboy, I don’t really want people to get them for themselves if they are useful for the space, I will proceed to pass it to @kyle and organise them around.
Hi! So just confirming, it seems these were people w/ some interest, but haven’t confirmed on the 18th.
Does that work?
I guess Andrea wants the first session to be purely theoretical… so no need to bring anything. Does that work for everyone?
I guess if not enough people confirm, we can start a new post?
Good for me - thanks for organising
I’m in sounds awesome!
