Yes, I cannot decide how I wish to store my tools vis a vis tool chests. I am going to have to bite the bullet at some point. I think I am going to build my bench next. I have found two suppliers of yellow pine at reasonable prices. All about compromise tool storage and benches. There is no perfect solution.

I would certainly agree with that order. And if you do go for a rabbeted design, look out for a reasonably priced moving fillister.
