A3 flatbed scanner?

Do we have a big A3 flatbed scanner at the space anywhere?

Don’t think so: https://discourse.southlondonmakerspace.org/search?context=category&context_id=8&q=scanner&skip_context=false

Yeah no A3, but the printer does A4…

What do you need to scan? Can you photograph instead?

No I’ve tried to Photograph but the dimension of the shape is not accurate enough, scanning works better, was hoping we had one lingering somewhere. Just checking before I went and bought one type thing

Been using A4 scanner and it works great just have to scan in parts and stitch it back together in Illustrator.

Sounds like you need a long lens and a spirit level. Yeah I have a a3 flatbed they are chunky units an a bit big to shift down to the space I’m afraid. Worth the investment if you use it enough though

We have loads of A3 scanners at my work built into the printers, would that do?

Assuming it/they create a png/jpg sure and if a pdf absolutely!

I’ve found it keeps proportions more accurately if a pdf

Printer don’t even need to be working

Yes it does that, the nearest one to Makerspace is in Camberwell, the nearest one to where I live is in Elephant & Castle, but I also work in Holborn.

Let me know what is best and if it would be evenings/day time etc…

My mum lives in Elephant and Castle  and thanks that’s really nice of you to offer, Ill buy you a coffee at the Black Cowboy

When would be good?

How about next week Thursday?

Message me next week and we can make a plan.
