Or an education account!
I’ll check what’s left under the pillow
“How do we proceed?” is a very complicated question
as far as what goes where that does not matter at the moment.
If I had my project managers hat on this is what i think should happen next and in this order:-
- finish electrics in arch 2. (almost done)
- finish tool control for woodshop (arch 2.)
- move woodwork shop entirely
- move entire contents of snug to old woodshop area.
- rebuild snug in arch 1 to match arch 2 (using propoosed metal area for construction site area)
- fit raised floor in snugs
- instal fire alarm
- move contents of old woodshop back to snug,
- move metalwork and pottery to agreed area
- have meetings to decide what is going to go in old woodwork area and messy room.
if anyone can see a flaw in this plan please post here.
Bloody genius, did it again!
Sounds informed and straightforward enough.
This is a concrete to do list which won’t interfere with decision making. Once the basic utilities are in we can even simulate by taping the floors… this will be a much more informed way… I want “this and that” doesn’t work (even having flat graphics) because size and working space available makes a whole difference. Metal and Wood deal with big materials to handle, cut and join - let’s try to avoid more walls and doors which eat up valuable space.
Great! Thanks @lewisss for detailing the construction plans. Many are interested in what is left to do!
I see there are no plans for extraction in Arch 2… I think that makes a lot of sense given we have extensive extraction in Arch 1, using the infrastructure we already have invested in is a good idea.
This was the basis for my layout proposal here, so maybe we can discuss this further?

Thanks!
Awesome plan Mark! The only area that I don’t think has been settled is this one:
Have we agreed that Pottery can have the Arch2 snug? I know that at some point there was a discussion about using the cement for some metalwork, but you came back saying “we can put cement anywhere, just like we did for the metal lathe”. Was there anything else after that?
The last two points should be expressing variable imo.
