We may have members attending this ‘edu-tech’ event, and we already had requests for tours of our space before the event was postponed, with more coming in now
So wanted to see who was available/keen to meet guests and give them an SLMS @welcome?
EDIT: I’ll give this thread out as a link to anyone who enquires and we can sort details out as potential visitors appear
I attend Bett, and would be happy to help with tours.
Given the Bett audience, we probably need to consider that some questions will relate to the intersection between making and education.
It would be useful if we could get more info about why people want a tour
We could have a brief survey to send them beforehand?

Hello makers!
10 colleagues from the Municipality of Thisted, Denmark are attending the Bett Show in March.
We would love to come and see you makerspace on Wednesday, March 23rd or Thursday, March 24th.
Who amongst you fine gentlemen could give us a tour and inform us about your audience, why and how the makerspace was founded?
Kind regards
Bendt Rasmussen

My name is Christoffer Lindved Dithmer and I am a Maker Space Supervisor in Vallensbæk Municipality (Denmark). My principal, IT consultant and I are going to the BETT festival on the 24th and 25th of March, and really want to visit a various numbers of Maker Spaces in London, which is why I am writing to you.
In Vallensbæk Municipality, we work with how we can engage citizens (across age, interests and queue) in using Maker Spaces in their free time - furthermore, we work with incorporating Maker Space productions in all classes at our schools.
We have a wish to see your facilities, machines and productions. It does not have to be a big show, we just want inspiration and a little talk.
We hope we can visit you on either the 24th or 25th of March. I hope that we can meet up!
Friday would work for me, Wednesday evenings are usually open evenings anyways maybe someone else can facilitate a viewing, @asander1@Kyle . I am committed to other places on Wednesday evenings usually.
Hi everybody.
My name is Bjarndis Fjola Jonsdottir and I am a Projectmanager for digital teaching and learning methods for the Department of Education for the municipality of Reykjavik, Iceland.
I will be travelling to London on March 20th with a group from Reykjavik and Hafnarfjordur and VEXAedu (7 women with the goal of setting up Makerspaces in all compulsory schools in Iceland). In all we are 20 people.
We work in a department that is called Mixtura where we have a rather large MakerSpace and coordinate professional development for teachers. Our latest project is a portable Makerspace for compulsory schools in Reykjavik.
We would love to see your facilities and get to know little bit about your organisation. Is there anyone that could meet us on 21.-25. of March?
