Better way to show induction nights on the calendar?

Hello, I was looking at the calendar and tonight is a basic induction for the woodshop. Generally the woodshop is somewhat unusable during the 3 hour induction. If you look at the calendar, there’s only a booking for Craft & Textile night, which I’ve added the basic induction to.

The problem I see is if someone looks quickly at the calendar, there’s no indication of an induction. If this is as far as someone looks, they’ll come to the woodshop and not be able to use any tools or benches.

Can we have another category for inductions that show a different colour to the red and green? Perhaps an orange? Or do you think this is complicating things and it’s the members responsibility to go through all the bookings to check if there are no inductions? Perhaps the scheduling of an induction requires a start and end time that’s automatically added to the calendar? This would also make locating the inductions easier for historical reference and checking up on times etc.?

I think we need to keep the induction element on the main calendar to avoid double booking the tools and spaces where the induction is taking place.

To see what machines and spaces are booked/free always requires going into the full calendar entry.
I really wish we could make this more obvious.

I always add an induction header to my bookings. See https://discourse.southlondonmakerspace.org/t/laser-induction-space-open/24357
