@members Following the success of last month’s session, we will be running another craft-along session. A follow up session to block printing an introduction to screen-printing.
Choose to make either a handkerchief, scarf or head-wrap and use basic screen-printing techniques to turn a boring piece of fabric into a unique printed accessory.
Workshop structure:
12pm: Refreshments and tour of South London Makerspace (for non-members). Highlight the new screen printing facilities.
12:30pm: How to Design Fabric; Basic Screen Printing and surface design.
13:00pm: Design, Cut and Sew you fabric.
15:00pm End
There is a limited space of 10 people, so if you would like to attend please add your name to the comments section. I currently have 6 confirmed.
I spoke to someone on Sunday who said their neighbour was interested in coming down. If that was you please add their name in the comments section.
Hello Chanelle
Lovely to hear that the printing workshop is running well. I am a
member and printmaker too and I would love to come on Sunday and meet
you.
Cibele
this will be a slightly alternative screen print session as the messy room isn’t quite ready. Yes would love to tap into your expertise. Look forward to meeting you on Sunday.
My sincere apologise due to a domestic issue I have to delay the start time for today’s session to 1pm. I hope you are all still able to make it. Sorry for any inconvienence.
If anyone is in the space, I would be super grateful if you open the projector and screen and put the projector out for me. If not, not to worry.
Many thanks to all those that came down to take part in today’s session and a special thanks to @Dermot for opening up @Cibele for helping throughout the session and @Andrew for technical assistance. Despite the very foggy start it was a great making session. Pictures below:
Sure can, if you haven’t done so already would like to tidy the images up a bit some or a little blurring and I’ll send direct to marketing team. In the morning.
