@woodtechs the Festool hoover is beeping, something obstructing the airflow. Tried to troubleshoot but I didn’t succeed in identifying the issue: the bottom bag is empty and I didn’t notice anything in the hose.
I’ll have a look at it when I get in.
Anything stuck in the cyclone? I’ll be in tomorrow as well
Nothing there, I’ve checked.
Maybe it just doesn’t like you
It’s a top pro hoover and I’m amateur woodworker…yes, it could be
I looked at it, it works fine. It turns on and functions as normal without me doing anything. It did begin beeping, but it still functions. The beeping stops when you set the dial for the hose diameter to 42 or below. It was set to 50 which makes it beep.
Edit: It started beeping again even on the 42 setting, though, it did not affect the vacuuming. I used it extensively last night during cleaning so I didn’t actually look at it, yet. Information online suggests the beeping indicates a low airflow and the filters inside may need cleaning/replacing.
I unblocked it before you came down
Thanks, Joe!
It was still beeping throughout the night after you left.
Thé ctm26 we have comes with a 27/32mm hose (internal/external ) there is a dial where it should only be set for the 27mm hose.
It beeps when there is not enough suction measured for the hose that it is set to.
If you set it at 42 or 50 it will expect a higher flow than the 27mm hose can produce which sets off the alarm,…… this is normal!
If it beeps when on the 27 setting then the separator (clear box on top) and or the bag must have been full.
If it continues check the bag inside the main unit, it should be practically empty, I expect that to last 1-2 years before requiring a change as long as the separator is emptied before it is full.
Spare bags are in a box under the tracksaw table.
Do we need an extract induction?
I think we just tape the diameter switch in place
I can at least vouch for the fact that I got told “don’t turn that switch too far” in a quick hoover rundown as part of my woodshop induction so we’re covered somewhat there!
