Found when wandering around the internet. Maybe useful? Could put on a wiki-type page if we have one.
@lasertechs
-
http://flatfab.com/ - fabrication using planar parts
-
svgnest.com - nesting objects in SVGs to optimise material use - also has desktop software at deepnest.io
-
https://grid.space/kiri - seems pretty all singing all dancing 3D/CNC/laser design. @CNCtechs wonder if we could get our tools set up and uploaded?

Thanks! I’ll take a look at these and document them.
Flatfab sort of replaces the (almost) defunct Fusion 360 Slicer app
The 2 nesting apps are great for saving material.
Kiri isn’t compatible with our laser because (AFAIK) Trotec lasers only operate with Trotec software (JobControl and Ruby)
Thanks for the list. It has reminded me to play with Flatfab!

Cheers. I tried FlatFab, but it has a bit of a learning curve and I have not climbed it just yet.
@CNCtechs what do you think about creating a tools profile for kiri-space? I would do it if I knew enough about the tools but sadly I do not.

Also, is it only me or the laser pc it’s slow near being useless?
Time to upgrade?
