Hey guys i need to raise my desks a bit, by approximately 10 cm.
i have 1 with drawer units under it and 1 that has 2 legs and a drawer unit.
i was thinking of fabricating some small square pieces about 70mm x70mm x 100mm to raiser above the drawer units and for the legs just making a higher piece and drilling a hole to get it down to 100mm.
Not sure if this is the best way. but i would need some offcuts (hard wood) not sure, maybe some other kind of wood would do, not sure i just thought i’d give hard wood a try see how it handles.
I found some on ebay it’s a box of offcuts. Does anybody have a project that require these and interesting in sharing the cost?
Or maybe somebody has some spare offcuts that roughly match the size?
I have purchased a similar box of Iroko off cuts from this seller; no issue with service or product in any way, just wanted to warn that what you get in the box will probably only be a multitude of pieces approx 38-40mm thick.
It was perfect for what I needed for scroll saw projects/ practice, I shared it with a friend who is using her pieces for pyrography practice.
awesome, i’ll be in on sunday if you can leave them somewhere with a note, if you don’t need them that is i can glue some pieces together to get the size needed. should be good.
