Help with soldering repairs

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone might be able to help me with some repairs to the charging port of a kindle fire tablet?

The tablet won’t charge anymore and it seems to be a regular problem for these devices. I have bought a replacement charging port to solder in, but my soldering skills are not very good and I worry that I may end up bricking the device.

Hey Peter, that’s a tricky operation to do but is not impossible.

If you bring it along tonight I might be able to have a look at it
