Help with troubleshooting broken amplifier

Hello!

I have a broken power amp I would like to fix but have next to no experience in electronics. I’m in the process of doing some hunting on the internet about the best ways to troubleshoot for broken components, I’m just wondering if anyone has any good resources for this kind of thing / advice, or if someone with experience might be in over the next few weeks and might have half an hour spare to point me in the right direction?

I appreciate opening up a power amp is a dangerous game, I’m hoping it’s just one or two bits that need replacing!

Hey, do you have pictures of the amp?

Have you considered bringing it to Electronics Night? There’s usually somebody around that will be able to help you.

Hi @emuboy I’m not at home at the min & haven’t opened it up yet, but its an EV PA2450L.
