Allow me to introduce myself with a touch of quirkiness. I’m Jan, but you can call me @potatoman (because who doesn’t love a good potato reference?). I’m a 24-year-old Software Dev extraordinaire, specializing in the magical realms of Go and Python. By day, I conquer the Energy sector with my computational prowess, but by night, I transform into an electronics aficionado.
I’ve dabbled in the realms of PCB design, manufacturing, and firmware, so you could say I have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to bringing circuits to life. CAD is also my jam, particularly Fusion360 and FreeCAD, where I can sculpt digital wonders with my virtual chisel. Oh, and let’s not forget 3D printing—I’ve mastered both the FDM and Resin realms, unleashing creations that would make Michelangelo blush.
Now, here’s a funny story for you: during the Open Day yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting some of you fine folks. In my eagerness to lend a hand to @scday94 during his repairs, I may or may not have accidentally spilled some UV resin (oops!). So, dear @scday94, if you’re reading this, fear not! I shall stock the fridge with some well-deserved beers just for you. Consider it my resin-spillage-atoning gift.
As a new member of SLMS, I’m here to embark on some casual wood-working adventures and indulge in the joy of 3D printing. But let’s be real—I’m a tinkerer at heart, and I can already sense that every corner of Makerspace holds hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Just you wait until I conquer those inductions!
