Hi Everyone, I came down last weekend and was really impressed with the space and hospitality of the members. I’m an infectious diseases specialist doctor, and I’m interested in doing some woodwork if possible, although if my induction taught me anything it’s to keep my mind open as there are clearly lots of ideas that can be pursued in the space. I was thinking of trying to make a plinthe for an approx 5ft stone sculture I brought back from Zimbabwe. It weighs about 80kg, it’s relatively thin and it’s been lying on the floor for the past 3 years but would ideally be held vertical on some kind of wooden base (presumably attached / drilled in). This might be a nice project to work out, so any ideas greatly appreciated!
