Always wanted to explore woodworking without needing to purchase all the tools. Very new to it but would like to learn the basics and make some basic furniture eventually!
I work as a camera assisstant in film and tv and we’re always DIY-ing so some wood/metal/laser cut plastic work for camera accessories etc would be a great thing to be able to learn aswell.
I see theres an open evening tomorrow night. I’ll head on down and show my face.
Hi Joe. I’ll be one of the hosts at the open evening — looking forward to welcoming you.
I know what you mean about woodworking tools. Any one tool isn’t expensive, but you always need another. And I think the thing that stopped me from taking up woodwork at home was taking the cost of a box clamp and multiplying it by six, as is a minimum for any real-world project.
