Does anyone know what materials are available for the laser cutter down at the space at the moment? Just wondering if I need to go and buy anything before my slot this evening!
Just looking for a couple of different thicknesses of ply and a little bit of clear/frosted acrylic.

Well… roughly but it depends on what materials and also what has been paid for in the honesty box…
I try to make sure that the stock level in the shop is >= to actual stock so that if people can find it then they can buy it but it’s not 100% accurate.
What is it specifically you’re thinking of? The plywood is generally quite accurate but the acrylic and rubber, especially all the random bits is a bit hit and miss, we probably need a simpler way of people paying for it in maybe £1 increments and then we just label it and do it that way…

Hello again! I think the main one I wanted to make sure you had in was 1.5mm and 4mm - the stock says a lot of 4 mm which is great and a couple of 1.5 mm which would be perfect - does this seem right?

The 1.5mm was actually an accident and it got delivered along with a previous order so I think we only have a couple of sheets?
The very thin stuff is usually expensive, or at least the 2mm was very expensive last time I made a purchase, like about 2x the price of 3-4mm. I don’t usually buy the 1.5/2mm but I can get some during the next order but last time it was so expensive that nobody wanted to use it and so it just stayed on the shelves.
It’s always worth checking out https://www.slecuk.com which is where we buy from, I’ve just taken a look and the 1.5mm seems to be an OK price like other thicknesses and 2mm does not seem to be available.
Availability of stock has varied a lot since the Russia sanctions and also prices have been all over the place
In terms of 4mm we should have some of that in stock but can’t guarantee. As people sometimes use it and deposit money in the honesty box I cannot keep track of exact stock levels. It’s always best to check at the space what is there and then pay for it afterwards. Just because it might say there is stock in the shop I wouldn’t trust that it would be there 100% if you are visiting the space with that expectation…?

Thanks for the message - it should be okay, what I can do is always come back or do it in a few goes if you don’t have what I am after this time! It’s my own fault for being a bit disorganised. I’ll head down for 7ish and just assess what I can do when I’m there and can always tweak my model if necessary.
