Laser etching a steel thermos?

Hello @lasertechs,

What are the rules on etching (not cutting) a steel thermos? Is this a thing we can do on the laser cutter?

You can get anodizing paste, thin it with IPA, let dry, then etch. Don’t worry about reflectivity …

Use some cermark and it will come out a treat! I have a bit left if you would like to try. Depending on your laser settings you will end up with something from a dark grey to almost black marking.
