@lasertechs - Help!

@lasertechs I need some help! Just at SLMS now and trying to do a test print and am getting the message below, any idea what may cause it? There are no jobs in the queue and the laser is idle. I’ve turned the laser on and off again as well as logged out of the tool control.

@Brendon_Hatcher I saw your comment on another thread, but I’ve selected Ruby from the laser mode. Any ideas?

If there’s an error on startup it can get confused. Sometimes it takes 2 restarts to get it back in order. When you turn the laser on, give it enough time to fully home before you move the laser head. And look out for any errors in the bottom right of the monitor.

Restarting the ruby computer is also an extra thing you can do if that doesn’t work

@will-hay Looks like the second reset has done it. Thanks for the above!

I’ve found that with the laser most problems can be resolved by resetting multiple times and making sure the front door is closed.

I do wonder if properly aligning ruby with the laser bed might help reduce such occurrences
