Make The Space - Sunday 18th October

Hello everyone.

Lots got done last week at Make The Space with a combined effort from the woodworking team, we’re itchingly close to having a proto-kitchen up and running. There will undoubtedly this week be many more kitchen aligned things to do as well as many many more, fun and interesting jobs.

Unfortunately, I can’t make it this weekend - but that doesn’t mean you shouldnt come! please do! So we can get a good idea of numbers this weekend - could you please sign up below? We’d really like a good turn out this week, so whether you’re old, new, or just want to check us out, please come down, pick up a tool and help us make-the-space.

Finally, if none of the above sound like fun, there are a whole bunch of other jobs that need to get done:

  • Plumbing
    • Plumbing for Hot Water
  • Washrooming
  • Replace floor void (recut from the right material)
  • finish adhesive floor tiles
  • Splashback tiling around sink(s).
  • Hang mirror
  • fitting handles and grab bars.
  • Finish up the plumbing of the second sink (just needs connecting to the mains and final bit of work on the waste)
  • Kitchen
  • Get going on a former for the kitchen worktop
  • Get going on the bookshelf / general storage / utilities closet.
  • Sitting Area
  • Make a start on making some side / coffee tables.
  • Painting
  • we can ALWAYS find something that needs a lick of paint / oil.
  • Phase 2 works.
  • Start thinking about the great wall of makerspace
  • Get the space for the short side of the wall clear
  • Pour a level footing for the wall
  • ADMIN

If you can make it, please let us know what time you can give below, else we would like people to be at the space by 11AM in order for us to do a proper safety briefing and allocate jobs.

Sorry I cant make this Sunday, am out of London.

Anybody else going to come on Sunday? I have heard from Dermot and Joe that they intend to be there, but we could use as many pairs of hands as possible.

I’m going down in an hour to do some 3d printing

Hi, aiming to be down on Sunday, what time are people going to be around?

We do an outline of the works and safety briefing at 11am so that’s a very good time to turn up.
