I’m posting in here because we’re hosting a makeathon at Makerversity and thought you folks might be interested. The theme is: “Exploring the potential of indie-manufacture in a digital age”. It’s on the weekend of the 4th of December. Materials, food and tools will be provided.
You can see more info and sign up to attend here. We would love it if you came! Also please pass the message on to any maker friends of yours. The more the merrier.
A little bit about us - We’re Mayku. We make desktop factories.
We’re just starting out and so far we have developed two machines: The FormBox, a vacuum former that runs on a regular household hoover; and the RotoBox, a mini rotational moulder.
Even if you can’t come to the event, we’d love to get your feedback on our machines, we think that you’re one of the most interesting maker spaces in London and would be awesome to get your thoughts.
Also: damn! That weekend is a clash with me personally, and with our Christmas Stall at Herne Hill market. Making phone cases on the spot would have been an epic win.
So happy you folks like the machines! If you haven’t already sign up on the site and we’ll send you an update as soon as we’re taking pre-orders.
Shame you can’t come to the MaykuThon.
I hope it’s not too cheeky to ask but if you’re up for it share the link with anyone else you think might be interested, we need as much help as we can get to make it happen!
