Makerspace social media

Hi everyone,

For our sins, @cristina.rebollo and I have volunteered to reboot the Makerspace social media channels. We are actively looking for new members and this should be a good way to attract them.

The sort of things we would love to post include:

  • Dates and details for open nights and other nights non-members can join
  • Member profiles and projects
  • Events we take part in such as the Makerspace Fair

Anything else?? We would love your input on what else we could be doing so please let us know.

If you would like to post your Instagram/Twitter accounts in this thread (or send us privately if you prefer) we will follow you - but please follow us too. If you’d like us to share a project feel free to tag us in it. #southlondonmakerspace

Also please add photos with a short description of your projects in this thread and we can share those too! We would also like to see more in the Projects section on here (which we will steal mercilessly - after we’ve asked you!)

Watch out - I will also be contacting regulars to “invite” them personally, and with extreme force, to share :laughing:

Maybe you could do a few machine profiles as well. And brief tutorials. I’m also a self employed Videographer, so can contribute bits

That would be amazing Will. My cinematography skills are very lacking! Thank you.

Also, is anyone wanting to show their photography skills? Again, mine aren’t great - would be good to have some help from anyone who knows what they are doing!

Thanks Andrea - that will be brilliant. Electronics night is every Thursday isn’t it? We will profile it with an invitation to future events. Is there a start time for them?

Yes! Its @marketing! (group and channels were pre-existing )

LOL. I opened the list of groups and searched for social, not marketing!

@marketing might not be the best name for it!
