Members and Non-Members access

How do we manage Non-Members and Paid Member’s access to Discourse?

Do we differentiate in Discource atm? How can we identify?

For example:

If a non-Member

  • Can only see public posts.
  • Can only see ‘how to join’ documents in the documents section
  • Sees the Welcome Banner (currently says ‘Welcome to our Community’…text and links can be customised)
  • Can only see public events in the calendar (for example Open Evenings)

Categories have security for in group members or not

Cool - do you know if the groups are linked to trust levels? The Welcome Banner is based on trust levels (for example only trust level 1 or lower will see it etc.)

Groups are independent except for trust levels iirc
