Metal lathe knurling and thread cutting

Hey folks and @metaltechs,

Are knurling and thread cutting part of a second or third lathe induction? My searches keep crashing safari, hence me asking.

Thanks,
H.

As far as I know, the power feed for thread cutting on the lathe isn’t currently working so any threads have to be cut with a tap wrench

You are right! (plus the tailstock die holder is for 3 size bigger dies ) and it’s easy to crash it in to the chuck or break your wrist as you drive it, so just put it in the vice oil from the red can and do it by hand.
The knurling tool has to be opened/closed according to the pieces diameter.
