Andy mentioned last night that the fronts of our two arches could use a little “touch-up” or TLC, i.e. like the outside art at Koi Ramen…
We surely have plenty of talented artists in our community - any ideas anybody?
An alternative could be to employ youth offenders to give them a legal canvas? That could also be a great way to incorporate the local press to give us a nice plug and/or brownie points? (Arch co prolly not amused by that though…)
I like the 2nd idea. Only how about instead of “free for all street art” have a comp where they can submit a design for the space. Winner get £100 to paint their design.
I’d be happy to donate the Pony and the assoc. Would have less to worried about.
It’s worth having a dig around…as i think there’s a charity/organisation that looks for people to ‘donate’ walls for street art…so there might be an organisation that’ll manage the costs/permission/contest.
