Overlockers have come unthreaded!

Hey @textilestechs, I went to use the Overlockers last week and noticed that both of them have come unthreaded.

I tried my best following a Youtube tutorial and the manual to rethread the black one, but I couldn’t seem to thread the upper loopers correctly.

Would someone be able to help re-thread them?

I have been inducted on them, so I feel confident using them correctly when they are re- threaded.

Hi Adam - thanks for letting us know.
I’m in the space on Monday afternoon so will rethread them. There is a knack to it - youtube is great but you have to follow the instructions absolutely to the letter including when to move the needles up and down when threading the lower loopers otherwise the thread cuts as soon as you use it.

For everyone - if you use them and they do become unthreaded - please just let us know rather than putting them back and keeping quiet.

If someone is going to give an overlocker threading lesson this week, could I maybe come along too and bring my overlocker? I’ve never been able to use it much because the threads just seem to … break … and then I rethread, and they … break. I would love to see how you go about doing it with yours, even although they are likely different models. I’ve got one of the Singer overlockers that show up in Lidl every now and then…
