Paid opportunity to help run some maker education in SE London Sunday schools

Hello, I’m putting together a maker education program for primary age kids in some Chinese Sunday Schools in SE London. I’ve got small children myself so can only deliver about 1/3 of the sessions and I’m looking for someone who has time on Sundays to help run them. This would paid but probably not much more than £100 per two hour session (we need to negotiate the final price with the schools, so might be able to go higher for the right person, but there’s a limit to what they can afford).

The curriculum covers 3D printing, TinkerCAD, some block programming of Micro:bits and small robots with MakeCode and Espruino and cardboard modelling. There are 14 sessions total in the curriculum which would run over two school terms (so this would be about a 6 month commitment).

I’ll prepare all the resources for the sessions and am happy to train whoever would be helping, so you don’t need prior experience in the areas being covered, just an interest in learning about that stuff, enthusiasm for the subject and for working with kids and availability on Sundays.

Thanks for reading, I hope this I’m not spamming you. Please reply if you’re interested, or have any questions.

Hello @rossatkin

I’m interested in this.

We can chat more about it. (Dates and times and what’s required)

Hi. I’m also keen.
I’m a code club volunteer currently without a club, a stem ambassador and I have an enhanced DBS.

Hi @father and @Brendon_Hatcher. Thanks for your interest! Please DM me with your emails and some times you’d be free for a quick (<15 min) chat next week and I’ll send you Zoom invites.
