I have just received the following piece of wood as a preset.
I thin it’s only around 240mm so I think it’ll fit on our lathe. I wouldn’t mind if there was a way to save the centre so I’m not just Turing it into dust. Any thoughts idea or advice?

There is but it’s expensive , if you had a hundred blanks to do it might be worth it but for one I would say no!
Perhaps put it on the list for a pledge drive if we ever want to get a few upgrades for the lathe, though?

It looks like could reverse engineer that. If couldn’t get one second hand, then could someone with metalworking skills could make one of those??
