Wood stick on the resin printer

Turn out this is why my print failed

How’d that lil guy get in there?? Is it stuck on or did it wipe off easily?

It wiped off easily but obviously I didn’t get anything attached on the holder…

This may have damaged the FEP sheet or if a lot of pressure was up on it, the screen. Would someone be able to have al ook at this as I wont be down the space for few days. @3dtechs

I thought as much and had a peek with the spatula but didn’t see any damage.

@3dtechs if no one can come down soon I can try and come by again today. I would just like a reminder which bottle to dump the resin (the bottles I saw all said IPA?)

There should be some bottles written with black marker saying “bad resin” or something like that. If not, take a spare bottle and label it :relieved:

Try printing something in that area, if it prints fine then it’s all good. I think it’s too small to have damaged the LCD, those things can bend a lot.

:scream:. I can have a look this evening.

Resin printer looks fine, can’t see any marks on the fep or screen.

As a bonus, I had a little go at emptying out the iso from the wash station. Probably didn’t do the best job but at least some of the sludge from the bottom is out.

The build plate was still covered in resin - reminder that as part of the clean up process it should be wiped down and given a little bath in isopropyl if needed.
Cheers.
