Hello all.
There has been some requests recently from members regarding courses and wanting woodwork training. I wanted to do a poll to test the waters of a Woodshop “Build Along” project.
Essentially, this will be a project that is (for now) aimed at beginner woodworkers who have no experience and want to build something with the tools in the makerspace.
If I use a footstool as an example, a video will be created that shows step-by-step how to create the project, using tools found at the Makerspace. From where to buy wood, how to prep the wood for the joinery, cutting the joinery, assembly and finishing.
As this take a great amount of work to compile, I want to get your opinions on whether this is worth the undertaking. If it proves popular, we could expand it to more advanced members.
It’s a simple yes or no poll, but if you have any thoughts, I’d like to hear these as well.
Thanks everyone.
- Yes, I would like to make something
- No, I won’t be trying this project
